Welcome
The Planning Council is responsible for planning services for people living with HIV/AIDS in San Diego, and for allocating funding for these services under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (RWTEA), Parts A and B.
All meetings of the Planning Council and its committees are open to the public. Spanish interpretation is provided with 72 hour advance notice; contact Planning Council Support Staff to request interpretation. People living with HIV/AIDS are especially encouraged to attend and to get involved! For more information about how to get involved, see Consumer Involvement or Become a Member.

New HRSA Mandates
HRSA now mandates that Planning Councils 1) determine how many people are unaware of their HIV status 2) develop a strategy for making them aware of their status and 3) refer these individuals into care. San Diego was required to respond by submitting a Part A supplemental grant application. Select the documents below to learn more:
