The Planning Council is responsible for planning services for people living with HIV/AIDS in San Diego, and for allocating funding for these services under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (RWTEA), Parts A and B.
All meetings of the Planning Council and its committees are open to the public. Spanish interpretation is provided with 72 hour advance notice; contact Planning Council Support Staff to request interpretation. New Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Mandates:
HRSA now mandates that Planning Councils 1) determine how many people are unaware of their HIV status 2) develop a strategy for making them aware of their status and 3) refer these individuals into care.
